We believe the church should be a safe place to ask questions, express doubts, and wrestle with the issues of faith. We believe that everyone is invited to the Table of Grace and we practice open communion the first Sunday of each month. We believe we are created in the image of God, Son, and Holy Spirit, for loving relationships. We are invited into that loving relationship through the self-giving of God in Jesus Christ and we live it out through the Holy Spirit in loving community and mission to the world. We believe that prayer is what connects us to God and one another.
Pecatonica United Methodist enjoys a blended service with both contemporary music and traditional songs. Our messages are Bible based and share insights on daily living and our faith journey.
Come join us and experience all the choices that Pecatonica United Methodist Church offers. Services begins at 9:00 a.m. and children of all ages are welcome to attend all portions of our service. Sunday School begins at the end of the sermon message and goes until 10:15am.
Our church facility can accommodate 150 people in our Fellowship Hall, and we are available for weddings, christenings, or any other number of events. Our facility has been the site for meetings and meals for outside groups such as Scouts, and we would love to offer our building to host your meeting! Our church ladies can prepare a meal, or you can have catering bring a meal into the hall. We have a full kitchen with two stoves, ovens, refrigerator, and freezers.
Please call our church office and speak to our administrative assistant, Krystal Waugamon. (815-239-1110) She can provide you with information about holding events at our church; or send you a Wedding Booklet that goes over fees for using our church to host your special day. Our pastor can speak with you regarding baptism or christening of your child. We are excited to help you plan your special event!
